Our First Day on the Water: Seaside Ceviche Launches on Anna Maria Island

When we moved from California to Florida in 2021, we fell in love with the Gulf Coast almost immediately—the beautiful beaches, warm water, boating, sandbars, fishing, and the laid-back island lifestyle.
But there was one thing we found ourselves missing: bold, fresh Mexican flavor.
As a chef, food has always been a huge part of my life. And after spending more and more time on the beaches and waterways around Anna Maria Island and Longboat Key, an idea started to take shape.
Beach Food Needed a Little More Flavor
We love spending the day at the beach, but after a while, you get tired of packing the same sandwiches, chips, and snacks in the cooler.
We kept thinking: Why isn't there something fresh, cold, flavorful, and easy to eat right on the beach?
That's where ceviche comes in.
Imagine pulling a cold container of fresh shrimp ceviche out of your cooler, popping off the lid, grabbing a spoon, and digging in while your feet are still in the sand. We serve our ceviche with a spoon for a reason—you don't want to leave those delicious, citrusy ceviche juices behind!
No heating. No cooking. No complicated setup.
Just cold, refreshing ceviche packed with shrimp, fresh lime, crisp vegetables, chiles, herbs, and bold Mexican flavor.
It's refreshing. It's addictive. And once you take that first bite, it's hard to stop.
That simple idea eventually became Seaside Ceviche.
From the California Coast to Florida's Gulf Coast
Mexican food has always been about more than just eating for us. It's about family, friends, sunshine, celebrations, and bringing people together around great food.
When we moved to Florida, we saw an opportunity to bring some of the flavors we loved on the West Coast to our new home on the Gulf Coast.
Seaside Ceviche combines those two worlds: authentic Mexican marisco-inspired flavor with the Florida coastal lifestyle.
And now, after all of the planning, recipe testing, permits, preparation, and countless little details that go into starting a new business, we officially launched Seaside Ceviche on Anna Maria Island.
Made for the Beach, the Boat, the Sandbar—and the Fishing Trip
Our goal with Seaside Ceviche is simple: make incredibly fresh, flavorful ceviche that fits perfectly into the way people already enjoy life here.
Take it to the beach.
Throw it in the cooler before heading out on the boat.
Bring it to the sandbar.
Pack it for a day of fishing.
For the fishermen heading out early for a day on the Gulf, Seaside Ceviche makes an easy cooler meal when you're miles from shore. Keep it cold, pop the lid, grab your spoon, and you've got something fresh and flavorful without having to stop fishing to prepare lunch.
Share it with friends—or just open the container and eat it straight from the cooler. We won't judge.
We're starting with our Classic Seaside Shrimp Ceviche and Mango Tropical Seaside Shrimp Ceviche, along with fresh-squeezed lemonade for those hot Florida days.
Everything is designed around the same idea: fresh food, bold flavor, and good vibes.
Bringing Authentic Mexican Ceviche to Anna Maria Island
We're incredibly excited to serve Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, and the surrounding Gulf Coast communities and introduce more people to the fresh, vibrant flavors of Mexican-style ceviche.
Whether you're a local, visiting Anna Maria Island for vacation, heading out for a day on the boat, spending the afternoon at the sandbar, packing the cooler for a fishing trip, or relaxing on the beach, we hope Seaside Ceviche becomes part of your Gulf Coast experience.
This is only our first day.
We can't wait to see where the tide takes us next.
Fresh ceviche. Fresh-squeezed lemonade. Made for the water.
Welcome to Seaside Ceviche.
